Uncovering the many mysteries scattered across Hyrule often leads adventurers into unexpected underground journeys in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. One of the most engaging side adventures in the game is A Call From the Depths, a multi-step quest that bridges the surface world with the dark realm below. Completing this objective requires solving localized puzzles, navigating surface chasms, and transporting key items across challenging terrain.
Starting the Quest on the Great Plateau
To initiate this adventure, players must first travel to the base of the Great Plateau south of Hyrule Field. Breaking through a wall of cracked drainage rocks releases trapped water and reveals a hidden stone statue that directs you toward the Temple of Time Ruins. Speaking to the massive Goddess Statue within the temple grounds formally kicks off the search for four missing eyes.
Finding the Four Chasm Eye Locations
The Goddess Statue marks four specific chasms located around the Great Plateau on your map. At the North Chasm, the missing eye sits submerged in a small body of water nearby and requires Ultrahand to retrieve. The South Chasm hides its eye beneath a large stone, while the East Chasm requires players to destroy a boulder obstruction before uncovering it. Finally, the West Chasm places the eye encased in ice or hidden nearby, requiring heat or puzzle-solving to extract before dropping each piece into the abyss.
Transporting the Eyes through the Depths
Once an eye is dropped into a chasm, you must descend into the gloom to transport it toward the Great Abandoned Central Mine. Near each landing area, players will discover various Zonai devices such as minecarts, wings, and wheeled bases intended to build custom transport vehicles. Transporting each eye one at a time ensures they do not despawn during your trek across the underground map.
Quest Completion and Reward Details
After navigating all four eyes to the lower level of the Great Abandoned Central Mine, insert them into the sockets of the massive Bargainer Statue. As a reward for restoring its vision, the ancient entity grants players a free choice between a Heart Container or a Stamina Vessel. Additionally, completing this quest permanently unlocks this statue as a vendor for purchasing rare items and armor using Poes collected in the Depths.
